  • Paul Muntz

    Paul is the principal of Fleming Muntz and specialises in both estate and succession planning, and business law.  He has practised in Albury for over 40 years and is a Law Society Accredited Specialist in business law.
     

    Clients appreciate the depth of Paul’s experience when seeking creative or tax-effective solutions to estate planning dilemmas – especially when complex or extensive assets are involved. Numerous rural families throughout regional Victoria and southern New South Wales have sought out Paul’s assistance negotiating estate plans fair to all family members, and to restructure their affairs to ensure smooth succession of on- and off-farm assets between generations.

    In his practice, Paul has provided legal services to a number of Government and quasi-Government bodies as well as regional, national and international businesses and has particular experience in:-

    • complex rural land transfers
    • estate and succession planning for business people
    • succession planning for farming families
    • joint venture property development
    • medical practice structuring

    Paul is a past President of the Albury & District Law Society and is current Chair of the Estate Planning section of the Law Australasia Group. He is a regular speaker on estate and succession planning for professional bodies and at public seminars.

  • Ian Byles

    Accredited Specialist, Business Law

    Ian specialises in business and commercial law.

    He was admitted to practice in 1993 and has worked in Sydney and overseas as well as spending several years as a business lawyer in rural New South Wales.

    Ian is a Law Society Accredited Specialist in business law, has completed a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance through the Institute of Chartered Company Secretaries Australia, and graduated with a Master of Laws in 2008.

    Clients seek Ian’s advice to plan and implement business mergers and acquisitions, as well as working closely with other professionals to manage transactional and recurring legal compliance issues.

    He is frequently consulted by other lawyers to advise on specialist issues and has particular experience in:

    • complex business acquisitions
    • trust advice, compliance and restructuring
    • franchise law
    • registered clubs and associations
    • co-operatives

    In 2006 Ian was appointed a Notary Public for New South Wales and is available to perform notarial duties for corporate and private clients with international interests.

  • Kellyanne Allwood

    Solicitor
    Kellyanne holds a Batchelor of Laws Degree from the University of Canberra and practices extensively in the areas of estate & succession planning, and deceased estate administration.
     
    She understands the difficulties experienced by her clients in planning their affairs, or coping with the complexity and processes involved in dealing with the estate of a close friend or relative.

    Kellyanne's primary focus is assisting people in need, and she approaches her profession with compassion, empathy and a thorough attention to detail.

    Kellanne also has significant experience in the areas of:-
    • litigation (New South Wales workers compensation, personal injury and debt recovery)
    • business law (including retail and commercial leases and intellectual property)
    • NSW and ACT conveyancing

  • Jennifer Yerbury

    Paralegal

    Jennifer has been with Fleming Muntz and its predecessors for many years, and brings with her a rare and valuable depth of experience in all aspects of property law.

    Jennifer works specifically in the areas of:-
    • NSW and Victorian property law
    • large-scale rural conveyancing
    • mortgage and other security transactions

    Jennifer is also actively involved in the due diligence process of complex business transactions where real property assets are being acquired.

    She has a loyal and enthusiastic client base, who appreciate her effective and personable approach to the conduct of their affairs.

  • Melanie Lethbridge

    Paralegal
    Melanie holds a Bachelor of Communication from the University of Canberra. She gained experience with the Crown Solicitor’s Office and the Australian Law Reform Commission in Sydney before joining Fleming Muntz as a paralegal in 2007.

    Melanie is completing the final year of her Bachelor of Laws degree through the University of New England and assists the firm’s lawyers in:-
    • commercial and farming leases
    • sale of business transactions
    • trust formation and deed variations
    • intergenerational transfers of property
    • franchise law
    • estate and succession planning
